Further to recent developments and Government focus on training, skills and apprenticeships we have been working closely with Hopwood Hall College to establish the future training requirements of the Industry and particularly our local contractors.
As you are probably aware, Hopwood Hall has commenced construction of a new Technology Centre on the Middleton Campus. This will see the eventual transfer of Construction and Engineering Training from the Town Centre College. In conjunction with this new facility Hopwood Hall are looking to explore the development of future training provision with emphasis on New Technologies and sustainable construction disciplines. To this end we are seeking your assistance as construction specialists and major employers of our local workforce.
Through our joint workings we are looking to set up a Training Focus Group along with College, your involvement would be much valued and appreciated. Anyone with an interest in their work force development or those that feel their own disciplines are under represented in training provision are invited to express their interest.
We can not develop the industries interests without Industry involvement. If you wish to contribute to this group please respond to this posting. We look forward to hearing from you.
